Welcome to the Wilbraham
Friends of the Library
Who are the
Friends?
The Wilbraham Friends of Library, Inc. was formally
incorporated in 1976. We are an organization of over 350
individuals and families who believe in the importance of
the public library in our everyday lives. The Friends
support approximately $20,000 in programs, services and
media purchases on a yearly basis and volunteer numerous
hours fundraising and advocating for our library. Our
activities are funded through membership dues, trips, book
sales, special events, sales of other promotional items and
DVD late fees.
Our many activities include the Library newsletters, the
Annual Art Show, an annual Book Sale, sponsored trips,
passes to selected museums and tourist sites, Children's
programs, the Film Movement Series and cultural programs.
Information on these and other library activities may be
found on the Wilbraham Library’s web site
www.wilbrahamlibrary.org. under Calendar of Events or within
the activities sections. Our logo insert is reflected
throughout the WPL website for the various supported
activities.
How are we organized?
The Friends group is headed by a volunteer Board of
Directors listed below. The Board meets monthly September
through June and also holds an annual meeting each June.
Board meetings are generally held in the Brooks Room of the
Library and the public is invited to attend. A schedule of
the meetings is posted at the Library.
